-2007- My latest bangin' techno mix- "Impact"
"Impact"
is a 74 minute mix of filthy techno and electro influenced beats.
Recorded may 2007 using 3 turntables and a CDj which allowed
me to throw in a few of my own tracks. Enjoy!
12-05-06- Deep Techno/Tech House Mix - "Bleep
You"
“Bleep
You” features some of my favorite deep techno, bleepy
tech-house and glitchy electro-house. This is not my typical
"dance till you drop" techno set; It's for your mind,
as well as your body. 68 minutes, 196k. 22 tracks. Enjoy!!!

JAK's
Bio-
Dj Jak has been a key player in the Northwest United States’
electronic music scene for over 12 years. During his tenure
he has earned a reputation as the most talented and technical
mixer and most energetic techno & tech-house performer in
the region. Jak’s unique sound breaks through genre boundaries
by uniting Techno beats with Funk, Minimalisim, Electro, Disco,
House, Tribal, Nu-Wave and more. His obsessive attention to
detailed mixing and constant acquisition of new and varied music
makes every Jak set a worthwhile listen.
Jak first gained notoriety during Portland Oregon’s mid-ninety's
rave boom with his unique three-turntable funky techno and house
sets and his energetic performances. While most DJs were playing
15 to 18 songs during a 90-minute set, Jak was known for dropping
as many as 40 without sacrificing his emphasis on quality mixes
and original song selection.
Within three years of his first gigs Jak was headlining in Seattle,
Sacramento, Eugene and Las Vegas for crowds ranging from the
hundreds to the thousands. Highlights of his dj career include
his 2 x 6 sets with Japan’s Dj Kuma at Las Vegas’s
biggest 2000 New Years and 2002 Halloween raves, a 2007 headliner
slot at one of Seattle’s most popular annual events “Down
The Rabbit Hole”, top billing at the biggest after hours
event ever held in Portland, “Spiritualize”, a 2
x 4 set with NW techno legend George Holland, and recently the
opportunity to play at Brian Zentz's monthly underground techno
night R9. He has also recently performed at clubs across the
central coastal region of Chile.
Jak is currently spending a year in Viña Del Mar on the
beautiful central coast of Chile. He continues honing his production
skills, working on studio collaborations with local and International
artists, and Djing frequently. Recent sets at the renouned Cafe
Journal, at Viña's Casa Italia and at clubs such as Scratch
and Cocodrillo have quickly earned him respect in the local
scene. Recent releases on SubSensory Recordings and Portland's
Akashik records have received rave reviews and begun to introduce
Jak's music to a wider audience. Look for these releases at
digital retailers such as JunoDownload and DanceRecords.com.
