BIO: Portland, Oregon-based producer Justin Neal emerged from the late-1990s Midwest rave scene, first performing as a live hardware act in Indianapolis. His current work is rooted in rhythmic grooves, moving between jackin’ energy and deeper, dubby textures.
Recent releases through SubSensory Recordings, Bang Tech 12 and Anode Records have brought Neal’s music to an increasingly wide audience, with ten releases charting in Beatport’s Techno Top 100. His work has also received editorial coverage from Data Transmission, Vicious Magazine and The DJ Music.
His productions have drawn feedback and support from artists including Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Slam, Perc and DJ Shufflemaster, while his tracks have been heard on dancefloors at Berghain, Tresor and Movement Detroit.
