BIO: Jack Coleman, aka JAK, is a cornerstone of Pacific Northwest techno—a DJ/producer, label boss, and event organizer who has helped shape the region's techno landscape for over two decades.

JAK's versatility as a DJ reflects an indefatigable love of all things techno and his roots as a three-turntable vinyl DJ in the 90s US rave scene. A relentless music hunter and skilled turntablist, JAK's sets can span hypnotic modern techno, classic hard groove, jacking acid, booming electro, and deep dub techno. Each set tells a story of electronic music's future and its past, blurring lines between eras and subgenres and tailoring the narrative for every distinct dancefloor.

JAK has performed globally, performing at events in Detroit, Tokyo, Osaka, Santiago de Chile,  Minneapolis, LA, San Francisco, Vancouver BC, and frequently in his hometown of Portland. He’s shared the stage with legends like DVS1, DJ Nobu, Richie Hawtin, Claude Young, Zenker Brothers, and Josh Wink.

As JAK, he's released over 125 trax and remixes on quality techno labels like Northern Parallels, Trapez, Illegal Alien and his imprint, SubSensory Recordings. His electro-breakbeat alias, D.Vices, has hit #1 numerous times on Beatport’s electro charts since 2020.

Through SubSensory and the #PDXTechno community, JAK continues to push the underground forward with an ear for quality and a no-nonsense approach.
